Your best bet is a Linksys WRT54GS wireless router. I has 4 ports for hard 
wiring and can do wireless for your laptops.
The CD that comes with it installs a manager that you use to setup and run 
the network. Very simple to setup.
Cost is about $80.00. Buy it at Newegg.
