I've got two lasers and a officejet connected here at home, so I'm kinda set in that dept.
Have you thought about adding an all-in-one device, for the scanning, faxing, printing, copying? You can hang the printer off a computer or go to ebay and buy an external HP jet direct for network connectivity. I purchased one yesterday for 10.00. As for the make and model, I think HP is the only part of the equation that I worry about. Technically, "another" printer. My current printer is an HP 1200 (3-4 years old), and I like it fine. I print maybe 50-75 pages a week.... all black and white, although if I had a color printer, that'd be nice to print the occasional cartoon or goofy picture to stuff in the kids' lunch boxes once a week. Gonna hook this up to FC6, although my Win2K (and maybe a vmware box) might end up talking to it too. Given that I have several boxes running FC6, I suppose I'd use an Ethernet jack to make it easier for them all to find it, instead of a USB port (or a... parallel port.. <g>) I've been using HPs since 1982 and I like them just fine. Never had a bad experience with one, although I've heard others with different experiences. Any suggestions, likes, dislikes... ??? There are 90 million different models and I can't hardly tell one from another anymore.
