I’ve tried several approaches to get this to work, but no luck. They have a
service they call “Mailing Lists”, which would allow me to send one message and
have it sent to everyone on the list, so that sounded promising. I worked out a
script to sync the subscription status on my server with the Mailgun lists, but
tried sending a few test messages. Turns out that they wipe out all existing
header information, and replace it with their own, which would totally break
the archives, since the Message-Id: header is key to threading. It also strips
the Reply-To: header, making it impossible to reply to the list automatically.

So we’re back to me sending the mail directly from my server. Apologies to all
whose ISPs block me.
