My own job at EDS was recently outsourced to India. However, there are still plenty of jobs and a lot of work in the area. I haven't replaced all of my former income yet but I think I will soon. The market really isn't all that bad for programmers. I'm a believer in growing the entire pie rather than thinking that the pie is a fixed size, and that if a slice goes to India there is necessarily that much less for Americans. There are bumps in the road but I think they're smoothing out.
