Did you investigate the new OS in beta and then release? Did you test it
thoroughly allowing you to ADVISE your clients on what to do and not to do?
If not then your really not a consultant who is beyond selling billable
hours.

I told my clients last fall that they should consider buying new equipment
in 2006 because the newer OS from Microsoft would be installed by default
and that my fox based programs were 50/50 in working on them. I explained
that local working space was different and things that I did in the past are
now against the Microsoft Rule book.

It took me an hour to write up the notice and mail it out to all my clients.

I had not even installed Vista, heck still haven't. I am getting close to
doing so but I want to get a better video card first.

As a consultant you get to charge a lot of money for your knowledge. You
should spend your time getting to educate yourself with all the hoop-la that
M$ gave you.
