That's what the neocons are hoping Americans have about the run-up  
to war just 4 years ago. They'd like you to think that they just got  
duped by "bad intelligence", and that nobody could have predicted the  
mess we are currently in.

        Of course, that's a complete load. Of course, there probably were  
one or two honest mistakes, but overall it was a carefully  
orchestrated message designed to dupe the populace into supporting an  
unjust war. This blog entry goes through the actual events and quotes  
from 4 years ago; it's long, but that's because there were a lot of  
people talking at the time, but only a few being heard. Read this,  
and you'll get a much clearer picture just how dishonest the whole  
process was. There were plenty of people raising red flags, but the  
administration and its toadies in the press just looked the other way.
