gwb and his minion gonzales fired all of the U.S. Attys when they came 
into office in 2001, just as Clinton did and every other President of a 
different party than his predecessor.

But then the bush crime family took the opportunity of a clause inserted 
by arlen spector's aid into the reauthorization of the (blech!! 
misnamed) patriot act that allowed the AG to fire and reappoint without 
Senate confirmation to fire 8 U.S. Attorney's who were too busy 
enforcing the law to perform their POLITICAL DUTIES as karl rove and 
other republican functionaries define them.

THAT's the difference...


As for 8 hours in the hot seat -- at least Fitzgerald was trying to get 
to the bottom of a CRIMINAL ACT perpetrated by the denizens of the W.H.

Clinton, on the other hand, voluntarily and under oath answered 
interminable questions from the repuke's about a blow job.
