I'd like to suggest a quick trip to
http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Supported_Devices . I use the dd-wrt
firmware on a number of old Linksys routers and the difference is like night
and day. More features, better stability, adjustable output... It's awesome.

Subject: [NF] Home Wireless router suggestions

Have had a Linksys for a while .. HATE IT! Locks up constantly, has to
be power-cycled several times a day. The wired-only Linksys router I
worked great so i was expecting better - but this one has been nothing but
trouble. I know I am not alone in having issues with it. Has been
getting worse for the last week or so. it needs to go - now!

Most of our wireless cards support 802.11g so that would be nice. Needs a
few wired ports as well, gigbit is nice but not required as only my notebook
has one.

Any suggestions? dLink? newer Linksys? Something else?
