Mob mentality is a study all in itself. Most of the bullying I saw growing up was verbal, I never saw anyone beat up, although verbal bullying is probably as psychologically-damaging.
My father told me a story that a older guy was constantly picking on him at a bus stop. When my grandfather heard about it, he went with him to the bus stop and told my dad to either tell the bully to put up or shut up or my grandfather would hit him. The bully backed down and that was the end of the bullying. In bullying situations, you have to make sure the bully remembers he was in a fight, even if you lose the fight. --- Pete Theisen <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > On Thursday 10 May 2007 4:04 pm, Michael Madigan > wrote: > > Almost everyone has been bullied in their life. > Most > > bullies have been bullied themselves. > > > > It is almost impossible to teach a child with no > > worldly experience that hitting a bully back will > > almost assuredly end the bullying. > > Hi Michael! > > Now that I am old enough to have a gun permit no one > bothers me.
