I have been using Send2FAX for over 1 year, despite having a perfectly good
(older) FAX machine, and a perfectly good FAX Modem. What I like about it
is I can be anywhere and have folks FAX documents to me, and they are stored
on a Send2FAX Server that I can access via an IE or FireFox browser (others
too I bet), and I can send any standard format document on disk as an
outbound FAX (I have done jpg, pdf, doc, etc.) from any PC via a browser. I
am also assigned a toll free # (USA and Canada only). I don't get junk
FAXes, and if I do send anything out using either my FAX machine or FAX
Modem I ID the sending FAX # as my Send2FAX number. The monthly fee is
reasonable, and the per page fee is just as reasonable. I initially picked
it up for both the remote access feature, and to free up my 2nd phone line
in those cases where I had a conference call using both my lines and a FAX
had to be sent to me. That pushed me over the edge. I never looked back.
Incoming FAXes are reported to me via eMail. Outbound FAXes are reported as
well, so I have a clean audit trail of who sent what, when, and the result
(success/fail). Very nice service.
