I just got a new laptop, Presario v6000tx.
The OS is XP Pro with SP2.
The BIOS lists this laptop as:
Presario
V6000 (GB115AV)
GB115AV = P/N of the Intel Graphic Accelerator.
The correct P/N of this laptop is:
GQ362AV
My Questions:
* What are the advantages of the BIOS having the correct P/N
* What is the downside of the BIOS having the incorrect P/N
* How can I change the BIOS
I downloaded a Soft Pak and flashed the BIOS. No change in the
P/N.
I am concerned that updating from Microsoft and HP will be
incomplete.
Thank you.
