Nope I've got 7 foot of clearance.... it's a compromise though if you
have say a flat roof! 

Noise vs Power consumption, you can powersave on the drives but it dents
the response times when you fire up the client I just minimized the
power requirements as much as possible and put the server on cardboard
on top of foam to isolate against noise coming through the roof. Other
people swear by putting a server on tennis balls cut in 1/2.
