I fire off both WinZip and ZipGenius CLI through VFP, and from within
Windows Task Scheduler. Piece of cake.

Also, I provided an incorrect link for ZipGenius the other day. It is:

http://www.zipgenius.it

Yep, and you can easily write batch files from within vfp and use pkzip25.

Honestly, I'm just still using my PKZip25 (Command Line version of PKZip
2.5, 1998). I bought it years ago because I needed the capability to
shell to DOS and excecute a zip command. I still use it because I've
used DOS pkzip forever, and never bothered to learn the Winzip version,
which I find confusing. I find it a lot faster and easier to get to a
command prompt and type Pkzip25 myzip.
