Personally, I see no reason for anyone to have a handgun except to shoot someone. I own a .22 rifle to kill the groundhogs on my property and I do not need an assault rifle to get the job done. I don't think the 'shooter' would have gotten as far if he walked in with a rifle vs. a handgun... David L.
