Ed, > One of the great lessons of the Bush administration is that > Experience != Quality.
What evidence do you have that Obama would create a higher quality administration even though he lacks experience? He keeps talking about "judgment" but honestly he was not IN the senate at the time of the vote so we have no evidence to support that claim. We don't know what he would have done. Many people with a lot more to lose than him were cowed by that swollen outpouring of support for the Bush administration at the time of that vote. They were swept away by the mood in the country. What evidence do we have that Obama would not also have been moved by that mood? I remember being heartbroken when the senate voted to support the Iraq resolution. But I also remember understanding what was going on at the time. Obama gives a good speech. Other than that, I think he is a pretty blank slate. I have no idea what he would actually DO once he got in office. He didn't even have the balls to REQUIRE people to buy health insurance in his health plan. How do we know he won't cave on other important matters? I like Obama. How could I not like him? However, I just don't buy his argument for his candidacy. There is no THERE there.
