Gee, I can't wait to see the responses to this one... However, you make a point aside from the shot at France. I just talked the other day to a Navy MSC and learned something I didn't know -- the Navy has two big hospital ships in the Fleet. They are used more (by at least 70% according to the Naval officer I spoke to yesterday) for humanitarian relief mission than military missions.
Incredible, huh? v/r //SIGNED// Stephen S. It's a responsibility the rest of the world shied away from, just like they shy away from helping when there are disasters. We didn't just appoint ourselves, we got to this position by default since no one else steps up, but eveyone (including the corrupt UN) wants us to send relief when problems come. The two positions go together... the world wants a share of our wealth when they have problems, it would be foolish (and we are) to give it without some sort of control. If you want the irresponsibility of living in a third world county that helps no one and offends no one (no, make that everyone), try moving to France. -- Larry Miller --- StripMime Report -- processed MIME parts --- multipart/mixed multipart/alternative text/plain (text body -- kept) text/html message/rfc822 --- [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
