Maybe the middle management of the auto industry all got laid off as well to keep the killer bonus for just the top? You have to see the bigger picture then just an elected official, unless of course that official starts a war because of their ego. <g> Our community has lost good paying mfg type jobs over the past 25 years. We have also see a white flight that got homeowners out of neighborhoods because of who moved in next to them. As the flight took off the wave of economic difference really takes hold. The quality of the stores diminishes, the level of theft, robbery and violent crimes seems to increase.
