Mozilla was complaining about this too.

What's the big deal?  Apple's got a huge base of users
with Itunes and Quicktime, it makes perfect sense to
them to try to leverage their browser onto their
computers too.  It's not like they're loading up
spyware.

Incidentally, Safari doesn't show up on my auto
updater, for some reason.
