        Actually, I now use a MacBook Pro, courtesy of Rackspace. The family  
has the MacBook back in Rochester.

        So far it's OK, but hardly a compelling upgrade. Probably the biggest

        Do the batteries simply run out of power quickly, or do they suddenly  
die while still reporting a significant remaining charge? If it is the  
latter, you can get a free replacement battery; they did that for me  
even though the laptop was out of warranty and I didn't buy the  
AppleCare for it.
