Several Roman historians such as Cornelius Tacitus, Suetonius, and Pliny
the Younger refer to Christ and the early Christians.

Jewish writings of the time record Jesus's crucifixion and aspects of
events of His life (the Jews of that time were basically "against"
Christianity - so they had no motive to make up the existence of some
person just so they could denounce him).

A Jewish aristocrat/historian named Josephus mentioned Christ and
Christians frequently in his writings.

The first 2 examples are not contested in regards to their historicity as
far as I know. The 3rd, Josephus, has had a lot of criticism because of the
way he worded things and described certain events. At the time of many of
his writings he was "captured" by Rome. So most say the reason he twisted
some things was so that he wouldn't irritate the Roman authorities and risk
being put to death. The historicity of Josephus's writings are not
contested, but some think he left out some things or slightly changed
others to try to ease relations with Rome.

In any event, there are a quite a number of non-Biblical resources
referring to Christ and the early Christians.
