Then please stop talking about "proof" or anything even remotely
resembling proof. This is nothing more than the game of "Operator"
played for 2000 years.
There have been lots of made-up characters whose myths were so
strongly believed that they were canonized as Saints (Patrick and
Christopher come to mind). When they announced that Saint Christopher
was not real, my Mom still kept the little plastic statue on her
dashboard. IOW, facts don't mean anything when it comes to belief and
faith.
It's fine that you and others have your own beliefs. The only
objection that I and others have is when you try to insist that others
accept these beliefs as historical facts. There is no evidence of the
Garden of Eden or the Ark, and the fact that variations of these myths
exist in nearly every culture strongly suggests that they are
archetypal rather than factual. Same thing for the Jesus story - its
uncanny resemblance to an earlier competing myth strongly suggests
that it was also made up.
