I just like the idea of having the option to go to biodiesels, made from
used cooking oil, should there ever be an emergency where we are unable
to get gas or diesel regardless of how much a buyer is willing to pay.
It seem to me it would be easier to brew a batch of biodiesel from used
cooking oil, than to try and refine a barrel of petroleum into diesel
and gasoline. LOL.

The price of biodiesel here in Abilene, Texas is running $3.99 per
gallon, which is way more than the $3.29 per gallon for regular gas.
Supply and demand economics is putting pressure on biodiesel; because,
the harsh winter in the USA this year used greater than normal
quantities of home heating oil, which is essential diesel. Also, the
switch to clean diesel is putting pressure on diesel prices as the oil
companies try to recover their investment to refine the more expensive
to produce clear diesel. I'm hoping the price of gasoline and diesel
will eventual seek price parity as extreme winter conditions and startup
cost to make clean diesel moderate.
