I accept that as a valid tender offer, and since I am in New York, NY law clearly states you are now bound to that offer, although at a nominally lesser price were you to find anything during your due diligence that would indicate a significant core problem with the business itself. So, I will have my legal counsel draft a set of non-disclosure and confidentiality and contractual agreements so we can move forward quickly on this deal. You will enjoy working with the products, and the clients. And I will enjoy the $2mil. Why am I accepting only $2mil? Have you not heard, we are *headed* for a recession! Actually, once it gets to the point where even the rosiest optimist sees "there may be a slight slowing of the economy", and there is no sense in denying it, politicians will still try to explain things away in order to convince folks there really not a downturn. Why, it is just an expected and routine market adjustment! Yeah, that's the ticket. And to prevent anyone from thinking otherwise we are going to give each person who qualifies a $600.00 rebate to spend foolishly because we are doing so very well! Why, things are so good that you can now buy a home for 40% less than you could even 2 years ago (if you can qualify for the loan)!
