You forget the difference: everything that has ever been released as
open source remains exactly the same. There is no way that Sun or any
other company can reverse that. You still have exactly the same rights
to the source code as you had before. If your business relied on it,
you could still take the source and modify it to your needs. Contrast
that with the purchase of Fox by Microsoft and you'll see just how
huge the difference is.
