That is what I meant by needing comparative data. There have always  
been violent boys -- no question in my mind. There have always been  
gangs, for example, where the killing is defending their "turf' or  
"honor."

What seems to be different from reading stories about these young  
killers is the complete indifference that they feel to their victims.  
They consider their victims just part of a game to get even for  
perceived wrongs.
