Yes, you do, as I never had that close an association. But I guess I am not making myself clear: I include Hell's Angels (and their wannabes) and organized crime to be the same as gangs. That is the kind of violence that has always been there and always will be. The type that seems different is the "kid(s) with gun(s) rampaging (or caught planning to) killing randomly at the local school/shopping mall/fast-food place/etc." story. Maybe, that, too has happened with equal frequency in the past, but I certainly haven't read about it is it has, and it hadn't entered the national consciousness until the last several years.
