Hi Leland!

The real reason your D buddies are hot on the trail of the Patriot Act
is the impact on drug trading and money laundering, topics dear to the D
heart. The Patriot Act, which passed congress with immense bi-partisan
support and was reauthorized with some minor changes in 2005, has been
and remains an important piece of defense legislation. Once all the
insurgents are killed or surrender, the act will indeed be revisited.
