Well-reasoned arguments never change the minds of anyone. Long-held  
beliefs and prejudices will always win out. I'm talking about you,  
Enrico, and me, too. People only change their minds on this type of  
issue when confronted with life-changing circumstances.

The only ones who do change their minds on something, based on  
rational, well-reasoned arguments is the *occasional* policy-maker. A  
pure politician will change his mind when it is politically expedient.
