HiJohn!

I have had a number of contacts with the drug culture. My sister at one
time used drugs, I worked in the projects as a social worker where there
is a LOT of drug use, I worked in the car crash repair industry where
the drug accident repairs were made, I have had several neighbors in and
out of rehab all their lives and most recently I have attempted to treat
patients for drug addiction in a clinic setting.

My conclusion is that we really, really do NOT want to EVER approve of
drug use, even the so-called harmless ones. All the pot-heads say pot is
non-addicting, doesn't affect judgment, coordination and so on. Well, it
does too affect judgment and coordination and it just might be more
addicting than they think. A good number of them can't quit!

In the body shop the marijuana wrecks were always far worse than the
alcohol wrecks. The pot user THINKS he/she is OK and THINKS it is OK to
go 100 mph through traffic, red lights and so on. I say one positive
drug test and no driving ever again. Possession might as well get you 10
years PLUS a huge fine that HAS TO be paid before you ever get out, no
matter how long you serve. Make it tough enough and they will stop.
