That's kind of like saying "if we give them this virgin to sacrifice, they won't take any more of our virgin's".
Line the drug dealers up against the wall and shoot them and hang them at the same time. Display it on tv. Say this is what is going to happen to you if we catch you dealing drugs. Hang the mob lawyers too so that the other attorneys understand you're serious. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Ed Leafe Sent: Tuesday, July 15, 2008 3:32 AM To: ProFox Email List Subject: Re: [OT] My life gets crazier On Jul 14, 2008, at 11:42 PM, John Harvey wrote: > The point is this. Nada So repealing Prohibition did "nada" with regard to the crime surrounding alcohol? Your expectations are unreasonable. Nobody is claiming that repealing the prohibition on drugs will make things perfect. The only expectation is that you will remove the entire chain of dealers/ smugglers, since you will have removed their only interest in doing this: money. We will save *billions* that would have gone to continuing this fruitless effort to treat drug abuse as a "war", and will receive billions in revenue that formerly went to the drug rings. On the downside, we may have to close some of our jails. -- Ed Leafe [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
