Part of the Republican-Bush Presidential platform of 2000 was to put new
legislation through congress making it almost impossible for ordinary,
garden variety citizens to get relief from creditors by filing
bankruptcy. This is especially true as it applies to Credit Card
Companies for whom the legislation was aimed The legal profession
opposed this legislation, along with most ordinary citizens. Of course,
the credit card companies strongly supported this legislation, as it was
written to favor their protection by weakening the previous bankruptcy
protections afforded to ordinary citizens.

It's ironic this legislation came back to bit you, as you help bring
this legislation into existence by supporting the Republican - Bush
platform of 2000.

I wish I could help. Perhaps with the election of Senator Obama as
president, and a stronger majority of Democrats in congress, something
will be done about the outlandish shenanigans going on in the credit
markets of this country, especially in home mortgages and credit card
practices.

LelandJ
