Obama's associations with adherents to Black Liberation Theology and people who think Saul Alinsky is right-on, dude, are an order of magnitude scarier than the neo-con cabalists of your fantasies. That said, what I like about Palin is that she's a real person, who does bold things (really, selling the governor's jet on e-Bay was just brilliant!). She's signed into law a $40B project to create a natural gas pipeline from Alaska to the US. In this alone she's arguably done more to help solve America's energy crisis than the 3 senatorial blow-hards in the race (include McCain). She also fought a corrupt culture across the state and in her own party and enjoys an 80% approval rating because of it. Her resume is actually quite impressive and the Dems aren't going to be able to go after her very easily.
