Actually none since the pick was announced. I haven't needed it. ;) > I'll hold my judgment until more fact are known and release in the new > about Governor Palin, but with only a couple of year as governor of > Alaska, there isn't much of a record of critic. I have looked into it and I'll put it this way. She's done an awful lot of walking the walk in those few years, arguably more than Obama and Biden have done combined in their careers. They talk the talk. And in Biden's case, talk and talk and talk and talk the talk. Have either of them signed into law a $40B natural gas pipeline project? Have either of them really pissed off their own party, by exposing its corruption and tossing the bums out in open and fair elections while being opposed by their own party? Have either of them managed to govern as independents---hiring qualified opposite-party and independent politicians in their administration? Have either of them sold a piece of government wasteful spending on e-Bay? Can either of them gut a moose, or would either of them choose to love and to keep a Down syndrome baby, and return to work after just 3 days of giving birth? No. In fact, Obama would not even "punish [his own daughters] with babies" if they got knocked up of their own poor judgment. It's not numbers of years of experience that should matter, but the quality of that experience. In this light her resume looks like a phone book compared to Obama's. It crystallized for me yesterday this way. In Obama/Biden we have a ticket that wants to "change America." They think it is at the moment rotten to the core and needs to be remade in their image. They propose to do this by returning Washington DC to the "status quo ante" of one-party rule circa 1993, and imposing an Orwellian-named "Fairness Doctrine" to shut down dissent and make sure 1994 never happens again. In McCain/Palin we have a ticket that wants to "change Washington." They love America as it is, and propose to achieve this by kicking partisans in both parties in DC squarely in the pants. At least, that's what Palin has done in Alaska. In Palin I see shades of Lady Thatcher, and none too soon. Just when I thought the Republican party under John McCain was about to castrate itself and enter into 40 years of bipartisan Obamessiah worship, he brings a real woman onto his ticket, and thereby quadrupling the national party's testosterone level. What jazzes the base about Palin is her record, not her rhetoric. We hope and pray she can deliver the lines now to explain what that great record is, and how it's prepared her for the opportunity she has been given. Time will tell. But for the first time in quite some time I'm optimistic. :) - Bob > > Regards, > > LelandJ _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
