Do I think that the newer layout of everything from M$ is a sin?  

 

No, but maybe not offering the option for people to use the old-style menu
controls in Office is. I've hundreds and hundreds of hours experience on the
newer Office interface and would agree it is better, for the way I use the
software, at least in some areas. I'm not anti-vista; I actually like it
quite a bit and have used it as a beta tester and every day since at work.
Change doesn't bother me at all, abrupt lack of choice does. Throwing a bone
( in the form of an option to not use the ribbon )in recognition of the
millions of people who literally grew up using the same basic Office
interface their entire lives would have been a good move by MS. But, that's
just my opinion, I could be wrong ;)
