You do realize that this post of yours makes you sounds... well... stupid?
To believe that only the NRA's gun death figures are accurate is an act of
intellectual and moral suicide. If you are a doctor then presumably you have
a grounding in logic and science. If you were a professor in medical school
and came across a student who only believed medical statistics as presented
by the Pentecostal Church or that you only believed medical information that
came via some ultra-rightwing website what do you think would happen? You'd
be thrown out - as you should. If you want to get taken even slightly
seriously among intelligent and informed people you need to adopt a balanced
and at least half-way sensible approach to statistics and general
information.

Hi Geoff!

An aside, what time is it in Australia at the moment?

Gun figures are an end-justifies-the-means topic for the left. The
published figures from anyone but the NRA are usually absolute lies.
This has been known for years. John Harvey might know some other
reliable source, but the NRA is the average guy's gold standard.

Obama's election is unrelated to gun figures. He won in spite of being
shifty on guns, a kind of miracle in itself. The crash helped him.

My accept and believe threshold is no higher than any conservative. If a
D says it, it's probably a lie. If a liberal says it, it's probably a
lie. If they back it up with statistics, it's definitely a lie.
