Of course. I understand that mentality. You don't care much about computer
technology improving. You'll just go along with what is "popular" without
recommending other things that have greater benefits to the client.
No biggie. Ambulance-chasing lawyers have a similar attitude. To each his own.

Well, lets be clear. I don't "loathe" MS. MS is doing exactly what would be
expected of any corporation in their situation. I do poke fun at them
('cause it's easy) and try to point out some of their more "anti-consumer"
practices. But my loathing is more targeted at the computer industry in
general where there is an apparent apathy about actually trying to make
things better and more efficient for consumers. And what also irks me is
when "MS-certified" something-or-others recommend things but when asked
about how the core technology works and what the detailed
processing/protocol/bandwidth/etc would be, they hem and haw and eventually
say ".... it's MS's recommended way...." Yeah, that shows a lot of
intelligence.
MS will eventually collapse or undergo a massive change in their business
model. It's pretty certain now. The sooner it happens, the better off we'll
all be. For myself, I'd prefer to be one of those that hastens the move to
better things instead of helping MS put out dead-weight-anchor stuff in the
industry like they are now.
