So now I'm ... - A phoney Christian... well, but you didn't mean to imply that exactly. - Mentally ill ... well, no, actually just in need of a little therapy. - A conspiracy theorist... actually no, just someone with 1 of the 12 traits you listed, i.e., verbosity. AH, now you finally found it! - A pessimist. Folks who know me personally see me differently than you can see me through this forum. On the matter of Obama and America's near future, where I am not exactly bullish, and have been shall we say eager to share my discoveries, I simply see the handwriting on the wall. Obama's hope is a false one, built on a carefully choreographed cult of personality, cultivated after the well-tested model of liberation theology in Central America--a Marxist co-opting of Christian symbols to promote radical redistribution of wealth and a command-and-control economic policies. He is neither who he says he is, nor has he achieved the things he said he'd achieved (esp. the memoirs, which are what people always point to in order to conclude how gosh-darn smart he is---but do they read them? Apparently not.). I conclude these things based on lots of evidence, both direct and circumstantial, information you'd prefer to ignore because, like so many people, you just want to hope he's The One, and because the implications of the facts are simply too scary to confront as reality, so it's easier to just blow them off as unreality. Well, he isn't the One. And this one fact alone will have profound consequences for everyone around the world. The whole world can hold hands and sing kumbaya, it doesn't change who Obama really is, and what he really represents. He can change ---that's my only hope at the moment, that he can be blinded by the light, experience deep metanoia, and have the scales fall off his own eyes---but unless he does, the logic holds, and the handwriting on the wall for America is clear.
