You have 10TB of disks as spare parts, how safe do you need the data to
be and without being seen to be rude what is the data? 

I'm using 1TB mirrored for my data so that I can have it in 3 places at
the same time.

Couple of points here:

1) I would be building my own WMS server from spare parts ( total out 
of pocket is $99 for the OS license and DVD, which is far cheaper 
than any NAS solution, except for using FreeNAS )

2) I need lots of storage space ( 10 TB easily ) - I don't think most 
NAS solutions can come near this figure.
