Highly recommended. I use this on my development laptop and don't see any reason why I wouldn't trust it as a server. My production server is still on 7.10 32-bit. I simply don't want to take it down to upgrade it. 64-bit servers on Linux are mostly very easy, especially with the software stack you mention. I've had trouble with 3rd-party software, but got around that by installing the 32-bit libs (apt-get install ia32-lib).
