Yeah, I had a real "ah-ha" moment when I attended the Voices That
Matter: Professional Ruby conference last year in Boston:

The vast majority of the laptops had little apples glowing on the
cover. There were a couple other laptops there, a few Windows, but
mostly Linux.

However, during one of the presentations on deployment, up came the
familiar Tux logo: all RoR developers deploy to Linux, so they're all
Linux users as well as OS X users. But development is pretty much
Textmate-centric (a commercial and proprietary text editor), though
there's an up-and-coming Vim contingent.
