I feel much better now that President Obama has taken the reins of power. Real freedom will only come after the Patriot Act has been dismantled, Guantanamo Bay House of Horrors closed, a new moderate Supreme Court assembled, and the establishment of the USA as a country in which the constitution is once again the highest law of the land.
President Obama has hit a few bumps lately. I'm disappointed in congress not supporting the closing of our Cuban House of Horrors, as most of the Senators and Representative of the House seem to have put covering their own butts to ensure re-election in 2010 and 2012 ahead of doing what must be done to put the USA back on the moral high ground in the struggle against terrorism. I really can't blame congress, though. If I were in congress, I would probably vote against closing Guantanamo too, because one serious event from anyone previously detained their could cost anyone voting for the closing of Guantanamo their re-election.
