I'm a poor LatinAmerican programmer from a developing country. If M$ would 
take pesos instead of dollars, we might have grounds for bargaining. 
Otherwise, I can give them my tango records, now that tango has been 
declared Patrimony of Humankind by the UN(:-)

Seriously now, that is precisely why I asked the questions. I know I can go 
ahead and do the Linux installation and all. And I know a few guys that can 
help me set it up. But, if the noose is dangling over my head.....
