You can't go by my personal preferences.  I use two 22" flat screens set at
1680x1050.  Screen real estate is fairly abundant. This works nicely for
having several code windows up at once along with the UI design.

I pretty much will program for a 1024x768 screen resolution.  However, it's
not unusual for a user to have the resolution set to 800x600.  This is
especially true for older users I've run into and for those companies that
insist on purchasing screen sizes no larger than 15" for those they consider
"non-essential" personnel.  It's usually those people who need larger
displays or dual-monitors.

I think that it should be a function of display screen size.  Some
people have a 22" monitor and others just got a 17".
