I fail to see how 4 billion years relate to recent events. Where do you think the sea water is coming from that is rising in Bangladesh? Delivered by comets or coming from melting glaciers?
The ice in the Arctic is melting at a furious rate. The Northwest Passage is opening wider and sooner every year.
