For the record, I am neutral on whether there is or isn't a warming trend. It doesn't matter. I don't argue that the climate doesn't change, and that's a clever result of the rebranding of the debate from "global warming" to "climate change".
My bone of contention is with the conclusion that CO2 is sufficiently significant as a driver that hobbling our economy for generations by crippling our energy sector and everything that depends on it (which is pretty much everything) will have an impact one way or the other, other than to make us significantly poorer. I also think the whole 'climate debt' concept promoted by the global warming hucksters is really about wealth redistribution (i.e., politics) and poses a clear and present danger to our liberty and our prosperity. As if our profligate spending hasn't created enough debt, or doomed future generations to a sufficiently lower standard of living... - Publius On Mon, Dec 14, 2009 at 12:08 PM, Nicholas Geti <[email protected]> wrote: > I fail to see how 4 billion years relate to recent events.
