McAfee is useless. My clients get badly infected with viruses in spite of
it.

The reason I need to uninstall some programs is because I downloaded a
few "free" versions, like anti spy software. However, when I wanted to
kill the threats discovered, I found out I have to purchase the full
version. This to me is unfair. So I tried to uninstall them. And that is
where I found the problems.

There should be a site in the Internet, provided by Microsoft, with
instructions on how to do these simple tasks that we are all used to
carry out. In XP there were no problems, with Vista I found that
millions of useless apps were loaded at startup and after three months
of using the OS my computer delayed 3 minutes to start. With W7 it now
takes 45 seconds to start, which is a good improvement. But the
"security" implementation built into it sucks. It reminds me of what
your President, Mr.Obama, encountered last Xmas. A lot of security at
the airports and they let a known terrorist get into a plane and almost
create a major disaster. May God bless the heroes that prevented it.
Will W7 be the same, vis a vis security: ie, lots of hindrances and the
end result is viruses, malware and you name it?

PS when I ran the antispyware program it found 2 threats, and I am using
McAfee full protection..........
