Here's what I'm going to propose to him:  I'll suggest the $2000 to 
cover this (getting it to work on Win7) and upgrades for the next year. 
  Or, the $1500 he wanted to pay only for this and support only...no 
upgrades nor bug fixes.  But how to separate bug fixes from upgrades? 
That means a separate development fork.  :-(  In actuality though, I've 
already copied off the code into a separate folder for this purpose for 
this guy.  I thought "oh hell no...he's not gonna get updates that the 
others are paying for."  Then I have to make it clear that I won't do 
new development on this dedicated fork for him, unless he's paying 
$75/hr for it.  He'll come back with "why should I pay to make your 
software better and more marketable?"

There are better ways to do this that don't mean you have to fork your 
code, but I don't have the time right now to re-architect the app for that.
