Hi Jean, The story I have heard is that two factors are at work. (1) The price of abusable drugs has gone down to about the cost of a beer habit, thus the amount of crime needed to sustain habits is less so fewer crimes are attempted to get the criminal shot AND, (2) the widespread legal carry law adoption is increasing the possibility that a criminal might get shot so he becomes more cautious - avoiding "confrontational" crimes out of fear that the intended victim will be armed. John Harvey might have better information on this than I do. -- Regards, Pete http://pete-theisen.com/ http://elect-pete-theisen.com/ _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
