Thanks Richard, I've tried removing all the WAN/LAN references but that didn't make a difference. I've now run chkdsk and it didn't find any problems either.
So far I've stopped a few services from running at start up and have been running smoothly for the last hour or so. Fingers crossed that one of these services is the problem. Frank.
