Frank,

Yes. They have decided to attack the advert farms since they have been less
secure than the sites you log into. AdBlock is a nice plug in. Need to use a
proxy type service for IE. http://www.privoxy.org/ is one such example.

As for your network systems and backups? Better safe than sorry is my
thoughts.
